Seventh-day Adventists embrace 28 fundamental beliefs as their understanding of the Bible’s teachings, grounded in the Protestant conviction of Sola Scriptura (“Bible only”). These beliefs inspire a relationship with God that transforms every part of life. Revisions to these statements of fundamental beliefs may occur at a General Conference Session when the church is led by the Holy Spirit to a fuller understanding of Bible truth or finds better language in which to express the teachings of God’s Holy Word.
