Guided by purpose and vision

The leadership team comprises the President, Executive Secretary, and Treasurer—and an Executive Committee of pastors, church members, and departmental directors, the SEC focuses on empowering local churches to thrive and serve their communities.

The SEC operates through 26 departments, sometimes known as ministries, which provide resources and support for various needs, such as Children, Women, Men, Community Services, and Communication. Each ministry is designed to equip churches with the tools to uplift and meet the diverse needs of those around them.

In addition to church support, the SEC runs three primary schools in Plymouth, Bracknell, and Tottenham, and manages key locations like the Advent Centre in Central London and Chapel Porth Campsite in Cornwall. United with a global Adventist family of over 17 million members, the SEC is committed to a mission that fosters faith and service beyond southern England.
