10 Days of Prayer
Global Prayer Initiative
The 10 Days of Prayer is the annual global initiative from the General Conference that brings believers together worldwide for a dedicated period of prayer and spiritual reflection. Running from 8 to 18 January 2025, this year’s event focuses on the theme “But When You Pray…”, which explores the prayer principles taught by Jesus. The initiative encourages participants to seek personal revival, community transformation, and global spiritual renewal.
Led by SEC Prayer Ministries Coordinator Linda Asare, the South England Conference (SEC) will host a nightly online programme via Zoom from 7 PM to 8:30 PM throughout the 10 days. Each session will feature different speakers, including notable contributors such as Trans-European Division (TED) President Dr Daniel Duda. The programme will focus on themes inspired by the Lord’s Prayer, such as “Abide in Me,” “Teach Us How to Pray,” and “Your Kingdom Come.”
Participants can join the SEC programme via Zoom (Meeting ID 919 4553 8924, Passcode 670468) or watch live on SEC Media’s YouTube channel.
For younger participants, the SEC Children’s Ministries department will host a special 10 Days of Prayer for Children programme. Running daily at 5 PM on the Kids Planet YouTube channel, this initiative features interactive stories about siblings Katie and Kenny, engaging prayer challenges, and creative activities like crafting and acts of kindness. These sessions aim to help children explore the power of prayer and deepen their relationship with God in a meaningful, age-appropriate way.
Within the SEC, this initiative also offers members the opportunity to join in a shared mission of spiritual growth and revival alongside believers across the world. Some local churches will host daily gatherings, either in person or online, while others may encourage members to participate through personal devotionals or smaller group sessions.
Guided prayer sessions will help participants pursue personal revival, strengthen relationships, and inspire community transformation. Resources, including daily prayer guides, materials for children, and devotional readings, are available to support individuals, families, and congregations in exploring the transformative power of prayer as modelled by Christ.
On the final Sabbath, SEC churches are encouraged to host special gatherings to conclude this global prayer initiative.
