BACK TO BASICS – Update from the BUC Netherlands Youth Congress

With the BUC and NUChc Youth Congress well underway (22-27 July), the journey has been incredibly inspiring, uplifting, and powerful with 500 attendees gathering at De Broodfabriek (The Bread factory) conference centre in Rijswijk, Netherlands. The week continues to soar from the colourful opening ceremony, featuring operatic-like vocals and beautiful string moments, to the initial message about God's call for us to rise in our purpose.

Each day begins at 8:30 am with a well-attended prayer time, followed by morning worship and workshops. These workshops cover various topics, from financial and emotional literacy to music theory and brand-building. This diverse range of topics ensures everyone can find something that resonates with them. The atmosphere is always filled with laughter, singing, and knowledge sharing.

The BUC Netherlands Youth Congress journey has been an exceptionally uplifting and robust experience filled with inspiration. It has provided us with a deeper understanding of God's Word and allowed us to explore relevant topics we encounter daily, leading to profound spiritual growth.

Professionals who are deeply passionate about their respective fields have generously dedicated their time to sharing their expertise and knowledge in music, finance, business, family life, and many other areas.

Their commitment is a testament to the respect and value they place on the younger generation's potential. They inspire the younger generation to connect with others, nurture their talents, and witness them grow. With God's guidance, they are being equipped with the necessary tools to make a difference in this world.

The mornings are dedicated to worship, while the afternoons are full of various activities. Exciting off-site adventures like snowboarding, climbing, and laser tag have sparked enthusiasm. On site, there is a palpable creative energy with clay-making and painting sessions.

New friendships are being formed, and everyone is enjoying themselves. The evening messages are impactful and have already made a positive difference in the spiritual lives of the attendees. The first few days of this Youth Congress have been a great success.

The youth are networking, and we can see them nurturing their gifts and abilities, which will undoubtedly positively impact our lives.
