‘Dubli Dubli ’ at Reading Angaza

Reading Angaza SDA Church, cherishes a ‘double blessings’ experience on sabbath of 1st July 2023. The term ‘Dubli Dubli’ stems from street language of Swahili speaking communities capturing the joy and jubilation when one experiences double blessings. They say ‘dubli dubli’ - one stone cast, gets two birds. The church praises God for His faithful providence. She is celebrating her 16th anniversary this month since her inauguration on the 1st July 2007.

Moreover, the same sabbath, Pastor Trevor Thomas, the Area 5 Coordinator, on behalf of South England Conference, introduced Pastor Baraka Butoke who commenced his local church pastoral appointment on the same day 1st July 2023. No other words can capture beter the joy and jubilation of the occasion than ‘dubli dubli.’

The brief program led by Pr Thomas namely ‘Welcome Pastor Butoke’, captivated every worshiper that morning. Local church elder, Champanda, gave an ushering word followed by Pr Thomas who administered words of admonition, counsel and concluded with prayer of dedication. Vanessa, a 7- year-old young lady, culminated the program with bouquet to Pr Butoke.

To Pastor Baraka Butoke we say welcome to Reading Angaza and thank you for availing yourself to God’s course. We love you and the church will continue to support you as you minister to us.

On behalf of Reading Angaza, we are so thankful to our Conference (SEC) for the support we continue to receive. We pray for SEC leadership that may God continue to use them to accomplish His purpose in these very last days.
