SEC PBE and ABE TEAMS Shine Again in Greece
15 April 2023 was a historic moment for SEC Pathfinder and Adventurer Bible Experience Teams. It all happened in Athens, Greece, hosted by the Trans European Division Youth Department. Nestled in the city of Athens, the President Hotel, which had never seen so many Pathfinders and Adventurers, was the centre of interest for many locals. Athens contains the Parthenon, the Acropolis and the Temple of Athena, but also the location of the famous ‘Mars Hill’ where Paul shared the scriptures to many philosophers, and won several to Christ on that famous day of the Areopogus. The PBE Event marked that beautiful occasion because scripture was shared by over 700 young people.
Our 16 Pathfinder Teams and 14 Adventurer teams qualified through the Area, Conference and Union levels, since January 2023. Last Sabbath, among 70 other teams across the TED, the children was eager to show what they were made of, and proved that their months of study paid off. And it did. All Pathfinder Teams in the SEC received first Place, and All Adventurer Teams achieved more than 85%, with a majority of teams gaining first place, except one team who came close to that mark.
The SEC Pathfinders and Adventurers are buzzing at the moment, because of the achievements. Our congratulations goes to the children. Our thumbs up goes to the coaches, leaders, directors, parents who have been committed to support, help end encouraged these young people to succeed and be proud of themselves. We believe Bible Study in any form never returns void, and I know that the knowledge they gained from the content of God’s word will benefit them in their current and future life.
