He began his studies for ministry in 1989 at Valley View University in Accra, Ghana, where he spent 18 months. He subsequently enrolled at Newbold College of Higher Education in 1991 where he studied Theology and Communication before pursuing an MA in Journalism at the University of Westminster, London.
Sam has a keen interest in current affairs and considers it necessary for an informed ministry. His varied interests have led him to pursue many other courses, including a Diploma in Public Relations with the PRCA. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Journalists [CIoJ], a member of the Public Relations & Communication Association [PRCA] and a member of the Institute of Internal Communications [IoIC]. His membership with the IoIC has enabled him to complete the professional MA in Internal Communication Management course with Solent University in December 2020.
His other interests in ministry include helping families resolve their difficulties and preparing young couples for marriage. Sam trained in Therapeutic Counselling and as a Certified Family Life Educator [CFLE].
In his current role, Sam intends to work with local churches to enable them to become more visible in their communities. He believes the Seventh-day Adventist Church has so much to offer its communities and can be a positive influence in our society.
