About Cornerstone Counselling Services
Cornerstone Counselling Services (CCS) is a professional counselling and training organisation committed to supporting individuals, families, and communities in their emotional, psychological, and relational wellbeing.
With over 20 years of experience, we provide accessible, ethical, and high-quality counselling services alongside structured training programmes designed to develop the next generation of counsellors and psychotherapists.
What We Do
Counselling Services
We offer confidential and professional counselling for individuals, couples, families, and young people. Our service provides a safe, non-judgemental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences, and work towards meaningful and lasting change.
Our counsellors are trained in a range of therapeutic approaches and are committed to working ethically, respectfully, and collaboratively with every client.
Counselling Training
Alongside our therapeutic work, Cornerstone Counselling Services is a developing training provider, delivering structured counselling training programmes from Level 2 through to Level 4.
Our training is designed to support students in becoming competent, reflective, and ethically grounded practitioners. We integrate:
Theoretical knowledge
Skills development
Personal development
Supervised practice
This ensures trainees are equipped to work safely and effectively with clients within professional counselling frameworks.
Our Approach
We believe that counselling is not just about solving problems, but about growth, understanding, and transformation.
Our approach is:
Integrative
Culturally aware and inclusive
Trauma-informed
Grounded in ethical practice
We aim to meet each individual where they are, recognising the uniqueness of their experiences and supporting them in a way that respects their identity, values, and context.
Our Team
Our team is made up of qualified and trainee counsellors, working collaboratively to provide high-quality support. All practitioners are committed to ongoing professional development and work within recognised ethical frameworks.
Some of our counsellors are in advanced stages of training and work under appropriate supervision, ensuring both client safety and practitioner development.
Professional Standards & Ethics
We are committed to maintaining high professional standards in both our counselling and training work.
Our practice is guided by recognised ethical frameworks, and we ensure that:
All client work is supported by supervision
Confidentiality and safeguarding are prioritised
Continuous professional development is maintained
Training reflects current professional standards
Our Mission
"…I come that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance, to the full, till it overflows" — John 10:10.
Our mission is to provide accessible, high-quality counselling and professional training that strengthens individuals, families, and communities.
We are committed to developing safe practitioners, supporting client wellbeing, and contributing to a more emotionally healthy society.
