About Jacqueline Otokpa

Jacqueline Otokpa was born in the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba where she was blessed to be nurtured by her grandparents ‘in the fear of the Lord’.

She moved to Holland where she lived for some years pursuing her education. Her love for life and healthy living later took her to Sweden where she was trained in Medical Ministry. She then moved to London where she became a Women’s Ministry Leader and she fostered a passion for hurting women for over 10 years.

During her time in this role, she recognised the deep need of women with psychological issues and she founded an international ministry, called W.H.Y. Women (We Hear You) empowering women to reclaim, recover and restore their lives through Christ. This ministry points to Jesus as the True Healer and Protector, and has taken her to Montenegro and Holland, as well as several venues in England. This has resulted in women re-committing their lives to Jesus and even in baptism. Not one to keep still in one place for long, after graduating from the SEC School of Evangelism, she embarked on and successfully completed a BA (Hons) in Counselling.

Looking around there is a constant daily report of pain and hurt that women face today in their daily lives: domestic violence; abuse; trauma. Sadly, women within our churches are not immune to this.

Jackie’s aim as SEC Women’s Director is to help wom- en realise that God intends to break the chains of the bondages of pain and guilt. She says, the Bible declares, the enemy has come to steal, kill, and destroy, but it also states the battle is not ours, it’s the Lord’s, and through Christ, we are more than conquerors.

Jacqueline has been married for 18 years to Jerry. They have three sons who are all happy to work for the Lord in their home, schools and in the community, where they are a constant witness of God’s goodness.
