About Jacqui Crawford
Mrs Jacquelin Crawford is the Human Resources Manager at the South England Conference. She is married to Robert Crawford and between them they have four children and three grandchildren. Besides, they enjoy their role of foster carers and have fostered numerous children and young people since 2007. Although some of the young people they have nurtured over the years have transitioned into independent living, there is still a close mutual contact as Jacqui and Robert have given continued guidance to them.
Jacqui, as she likes to be called, was born in Jamaica and raised in England. Her passion and interest in community outreach and projects have led her to become an integral part of the Dunstable Church Plant which is based in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience of church planting with churches within the South England Conference region.
She has worked in a number of sectors to include: banking; sales and marketing and publishing. With a keen interest in Caribbean and African history, in 2000, she obtained a BA Hons degree in Caribbean Studies (major) and History (minor) at the then North London University.
Jacqui joined the worker force of the South England Conference in 2005, first on a temporary basis while she was involved in publishing. She did not dream of actually working for the Church but feels that it was simply God’s leading and directing. Jacqui believes that God led her towards Human Resources Management and the obtaining of qualifications in this profession. She initially served as Human Resources Assistant, then as Associate Executive Secretary with the responsibility for Human Resources.
In 2008 she acquired both her Masters in Human Resources Management and her Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualifications from the University of Hertfordshire. She became the Human Resources Manager for the South England Conference in January 2009.
