About Michael Mbui
Michael Njagi Mbui began his ministerial training at The University of Eastern Africa, Baraton, where he gained a BA in Theology. He then joined Newbold College of Higher Education and achieved his MA in Religion. He went on to complete a MA in Theology at The London School of Theology, followed by a PhD in Biblical Studies at Trinity Theological Seminary.
Mbui first served as a church pastor and Associate Youth Chaplain in the Central Kenya Conference. Following an invitation by the South England Conference, he served several churches within the conference, most recently Balham and Mitcham.
Mbui is passionate about empowering and inspiring every member to understand and experience God’s vision and mission for their lives. In January 2018 he was elected SEC Personal Ministries and Sabbath School Di- rector, and he has been training churches across the conference to grow disciple makers. He has also authored two books to help the church’s mission: “Making Discipleship Simple” and “Why Church Exists - Making Mission Simple”.
Mbui has been married for 31 years to his beautiful wife Nancy, and they have two adult daughters and a son-in-law.
