SEC Prayer Ministries Retreat Unites Over 200 in Prayer and Spiritual Empowerment
Over 200 attendees gathered at Wyboston Lakes for the SEC Prayer Ministries Retreat, featuring biblical teaching, prayer, and a ‘Meet Jesus Outside’ prayer walk.
Over 200 people joined the SEC Prayer Ministries retreat from the SEC and NEC conferences, as well as from the Netherlands. The retreat was held at Wyboston Lakes Training and Events in Bedford, under the leadership of SEC Prayer Coordinator Sister Linda Asare and her team.
This year’s retreat also saw increased participation from men, young people and seniors, including a special time of prayer dedicated to them.
The main speakers were Dr Edith Kiggundu from Alberta, Canada, and Dr Sam Neves, Vice President of Hope Channel International. The theme for the weekend was “The Divine Council—Exercising Your Authority in the Heavenly Realm.” The sermons were deeply empowering and taught us about the authority given to us in prayer.
On Sabbath afternoon, we held a Prayer Walk called “Meet Jesus Outside”, where we went out and prayed in groups, following Bible stories and characters, guided by Dr Edith Kiggundu.
We were also taught to pray for different people groups who have never heard the gospel—so that the gospel may find entry through prayer.
Members were invited to spend time in the prayer room, which was available 24 hours a day, where they could pray and meditate on God’s Word at any time.
