Slough Ghana SDA Church's First Men's Retreat Encourages Real Talk

Slough Ghana Seventh-day Adventist Church held its first Men's Ministries Retreat from 16–18 October 2026 at Hay's Wood Retreat Centre, a South England Conference facility.

Held under the theme "Real Talk", the retreat brought together approximately 25 men, both single and married, for a weekend of open and honest discussions about life, relationships, marriage, parenting, personal choices, sexuality and spiritual growth.

The weekend provided an opportunity for participants to share personal experiences, reflect on life's challenges and strengthen their relationships with one another and with God.

Pastor Emmanuel Frimpong-Manso expressed his appreciation to the Men's Ministries leader and his team, as well as the pastoral team, for their efforts in organising the retreat.

As the church's first Men's Ministries Retreat, the event marked an important milestone in encouraging openness, strengthening fellowship and promoting spiritual growth. It also laid the foundation for continued conversations and greater support among the men as they navigate the challenges of everyday life, family and faith.
