About Emmanuel Osei

Dr Emmanuel K. Osei was elected to serve as President at the 63rd Session of South England Conference in Portsmouth on 6th September 2019. Born in Accra, Ghana, Emmanuel travelled to the UK as a child. He received his call to pastoral ministry at the age of 21, just before completing his first degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

On entering Newbold College of Higher Education, Emmanuel embarked upon and completed his ministerial training, qualifying with an MA in Theology, before pastoring. He has since pastored a number of churches within the London area as an ordained minister.

He is married to Laura Osei, a Head Teacher, and they have been blessed with three adult daughters - Naomi, Danielle and Leah - plus two grandchildren, Rhianne and Aaron.

A gifted and sought-after speaker, Emmanuel has conducted evangelistic campaigns both here in the UK and throughout Africa, USA and the Caribbean. Apart from his formal post-graduate ministerial training at Newbold College, Emmanuel has also obtained a MA in Mission Studies from Birmingham University and a Doctor of Ministry from Seabury Western Theological Seminary in Chicago, USA.

Osei is honoured to serve the 25,000 church members and has a vision of making the churches in Southern England relevant and open to all within their respective communities.

In his leisure time, Emmanuel enjoys playing dominoes with his friends, staying fit and healthy with regular walking, and he has a real passion for travelling and seeing the world.
