Christ First, Mission Always
Pastoral Letter, 17 July 2026
Dear SEC Family,
It is with gratitude and humility that I greet you for the first time as President of the South England Conference. I am deeply thankful for the confidence that has been placed in me and, above all, for God's leading as we begin this new chapter together.
I would also like to acknowledge and thank those who have faithfully served before me. Their leadership, dedication and hard work have helped shape the Conference and laid the strong foundation on which we will continue to build.
As we look ahead, I want to reaffirm our commitment to ‘GO SEC: Inspired for Mission’. This strategy continues to provide a clear and compelling vision for our Conference. It reminds us that mission is more than just another programme or project. It is the calling of every believer and the heartbeat of the Church.
Our purpose remains the same: to know Jesus more deeply and to make Him known throughout our communities. We will continue to put Christ first in our hearts through a deeper, personal walk with Him. Christ in our homes as we strengthen our families and relationships. Christ in our churches as we create welcoming, vibrant communities of faith. And Christ on our streets as we serve, engage, and share hope with the communities around us.
I believe God has many exciting and enriching opportunities ahead for the South England Conference. As we move forward together, I invite every member, pastor, volunteer and church leader to continue embracing this shared vision with renewed faith, unity and purpose. Each of us has a part to play in God's mission, and together we can make a lasting impact for His kingdom.
Thank you for your prayers, your faithfulness and your commitment to the work of the gospel. My prayer is that God will continue to guide and empower us as we serve together. May He unite us in purpose, strengthen us through His Spirit and inspire us to faithfully share the hope of Christ wherever He leads us.
May God richly bless our Conference as, together, we remain Inspired for Mission.
