Bath Church Celebrates Its First International Pathfinder Day
On 19 September, Bath Church celebrated its first International Pathfinder Day, marking a joyful and memorable occasion in the life of the church. It was a wonderful morning and afternoon, as young people took an active role in leading and participating in the programme.
The Pathfinder Club, known as “Bath Oaks Club,” is committed to helping share the message of salvation with the people of Bath. Bath is a popular tourist city, and reaching the local community with the Word of God can be a challenge. However, Pastor Robis da Silva believes that the young people of the Pathfinder Club can play an important role in helping the church meet this challenge.
The Pathfinder ministry also provides an opportunity for parents to become involved in the life of the church. Through the club, families can build relationships with church members and become more connected to the church community. Both the church members and the Pathfinders were very happy to be part of this special day.
The afternoon celebration brought together Pathfinders, parents and church members for a time of fellowship and spiritual growth. The programme included a dynamic Bible quiz and a Bible reflection, giving everyone an opportunity to learn, participate and strengthen their faith.
The day concluded with words of appreciation to everyone who helped organise and support the programme. It also brought an important challenge to the church: to embrace and support young people, because today’s Pathfinders are tomorrow’s leaders.
Bath Church looks forward to seeing the Bath Oaks Club continue to grow and to play an important role in sharing the gospel, strengthening families and reaching the wider community of Bath.
