Be The Man II Returns for Walthamstow Men’s Ministry Day
On Sabbath, 25 April 2026, Men’s Ministry Day at Walthamstow Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church was a truly uplifting and memorable occasion that brought together members and guests for a day of worship, fellowship, and spiritual inspiration. Held under the theme “Be the Man – Part 2: Legacy Thinking,” the programme encouraged men to reflect on the lasting impact of their faith, character, leadership, and influence on future generations. This was followed by the yellow rose, which represents friendship, joy, happiness, optimism, and the sunny expression of warmth and care towards one another.
Throughout the day, inspiring messages were shared that challenged men to lead with integrity, humility, courage, and compassion. The theme of legacy thinking was woven throughout the programme, reminding attendees that true leadership is not only about present success, but also about building a positive spiritual foundation for families, communities, and the church.
A special highlight of the service was the all-men praise team led by Elder Rohan Alexander, made up of participants from a wide range of age groups. Their united voices created a powerful atmosphere of worship and demonstrated the strength of fellowship across generations. The blend of youthful energy and experienced leadership beautifully reflected the spirit of mentorship and unity that the day sought to promote.
The congregation was also blessed by a special musical item presented by DeAndre Ifill, along with Pastor Emmanuel Asamoah and family. The heartfelt performance brought inspiration and encouragement to the audience, adding a deeply worshipful moment to the day’s celebrations.
One of the most joyful and moving moments of the event was the baptism service of Marlon. Family members, friends, and the church congregation gathered in celebration as a precious soul publicly committed their life to Christ. The baptism served as a powerful reminder of God’s grace, renewal, and transforming love, bringing great joy and inspiration to everyone present.
Another memorable feature of the programme was a small play titled Assets and Liabilities, written by screenwriter Ryan Peynado. The production delivered a thoughtful and engaging message, encouraging the audience to reflect on the choices, influences, and values that shape their lives. Through humour, drama, and meaningful reflection, the play captured the attention of the congregation and reinforced the day’s theme of leaving a positive legacy.
The atmosphere throughout the programme was warm, welcoming, and spiritually enriching. Men of all ages shared fellowship, testimonies, and encouragement, strengthening the sense of brotherhood within the church community. The event also recognised the dedication of men in all circumstances, such as veterans, mature men, adolescents, and families of those who continue to serve faithfully behind the scenes in ministry and outreach.
As the programme concluded, appreciation was expressed to all organisers, speakers, musicians, actors, and volunteers whose hard work and commitment contributed to the success of the day.
Men’s Ministry Day at Walthamstow SDA Church was not only a celebration of faith and fellowship, but also a meaningful reminder that every man has the opportunity to leave a legacy grounded in faith, service, and godly leadership.
