Hounslow Cornerstone SDA Brings Families Together for ‘Rainforest Falls’ Vacation Bible School

The Rainforest Falls Vacation Bible School, held at Hounslow Cornerstone SDA Church from 26–31 October 2026, was a joyful and successful week that brought children, families, volunteers and the wider community together.

Guided by God's blessings and the vision of those who established the church as a cornerstone of the community, the programme created an atmosphere of fun, friendship, learning and inclusion.

In preparation for the event, volunteers distributed leaflets to local schools, parents and businesses, while online advertising helped raise awareness across the community. These efforts resulted in over 50 registered participants, with many additional children attending throughout the week. New families continued to join right up to the final day, showing the growing impact of the programme.

Children attended from diverse backgrounds and faiths. This diversity enriched the programme and reflected the welcoming spirit of the local community. One parent commented, “This is what fellowship should be like.”

Children enjoyed a wide range of engaging activities, including games, singing, experiments, creative projects and team-building exercises. The rainforest theme inspired imagination and excitement, making each day an adventure filled with discovery, friendship and learning.

The programme was supported by more than 20 dedicated volunteers who generously gave their time and talents. Their commitment, enthusiasm and care ensured that every child felt welcomed, valued and included.

We are also grateful for the guidance received from the Vacation Bible School Directors, Craige Young, Michelle Young and Marcia Laudat, and for the support of parents, grandparents, guardians and relatives who encouraged participation throughout the week.

Special thanks go to the church board, church members, volunteers, crew leaders, families and all the children who made the programme such a memorable success.

Rainforest Falls was more than a holiday club; it was a wonderful expression of faith, community spirit, friendship and service. The excitement of the children and the dedication of the volunteers demonstrated the positive and lasting impact of the week.

We thank God and everyone involved for making Rainforest Falls 2026 an inspiring, enjoyable and inclusive experience for all.
