Hundreds Gather, Ten Baptised as London's Hispanic Adventists Celebrate a Historic Week of Hope
Hundreds attend “Gracia Sublime” evangelistic campaign in Camberwell, culminating in a historic gathering of London's three Hispanic Adventist congregations.
Ten people committed their lives to Christ through baptism following “Gracia Sublime” (Amazing Grace), a week-long evangelistic campaign held in Camberwell, central south London, as part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church's OneVoice27 initiative.
The campaign drew hundreds of attendees throughout the week, while hundreds more followed the programmes through live broadcasts, extending the message of hope and salvation well beyond the venue.
Pastor Joel Flores, the Evangelism leader of the South American Division, was the key speaker, and his Christ-centred messages invited participants to experience God's transforming grace. His wife, Keyla Guerrero, served as the campaign's official singer, enriching each evening with music and worship.
Ten Baptisms and a Historic Day of Fellowship
The campaign concluded with a memorable day of worship, celebration and fellowship, bringing together members of London's three Hispanic Adventist congregations in a powerful demonstration of unity and shared mission.
The occasion was honoured by the presence of Pastor Kwesi Moore, President of the South England Conference (SEC), whose attendance and encouragement reflected the Conference's commitment to supporting evangelism among London's diverse communities.
After the fellowship gathering, the celebrations continued at Brixton Seventh-day Adventist Church, where Pastor Flores officiated a special service in which ten individuals were baptised. Hundreds of Hispanic church members and visitors attended both gatherings, making the day particularly memorable for London's Adventist Hispanic community.
Months of Preparation and International Participation
Months of prayer, planning, and dedicated service underpinned the campaign. Tens of volunteers, coordinated by district pastor Luis Fajardo, worked across numerous teams, including hospitality, music, children's ministries, prayer, logistics, communications and outreach.
Beyond the ten baptisms, the campaign generated more than 50 new contacts interested in Bible studies and further spiritual preparation, providing a strong foundation for continued discipleship and future baptisms.
A Renewed Vision for London's Hispanic Community
For Pastor Fajardo, the campaign represents not only a significant spiritual victory but also an encouragement to pursue an even greater mission.
He expressed profound gratitude to God for the lives touched and transformed, recognising the dedication of volunteers, church leaders and members whose united efforts made the campaign possible. He also acknowledged the valuable encouragement and support of the South England Conference leadership.
With London's Hispanic population estimated at about 300,000, the district sees an important opportunity to expand its outreach and share the message of Christ with a growing and diverse community.
As part of the wider OneVoice27 evangelistic vision, “Gracia Sublime” has strengthened London's Hispanic Adventist family's determination to keep working together to reach people with the everlasting gospel.
While the campaign has concluded, its mission continues through Bible studies, personal visits, discipleship and preparation for future baptisms.
For London's Hispanic Adventists, the ten baptisms are not simply the conclusion of a successful evangelistic week, but the beginning of a new chapter of faith, unity and mission.
