Profession of Faith – Ann Currithers
On Sabbath 27 June 2026, there was rejoicing in heaven and joy among the saints as Sydenham Seventh-day Adventist Church welcomed Ann Currithers into fellowship on profession of faith. The service was solemn, dignified, and beautifully led by Pastor Otis Lewis.
Family members and friends travelled from far and near to witness this special moment in Sis Ann’s spiritual journey. Pastor Lewis delivered a short but powerful sermonette based on Jeremiah 33:3, the scripture chosen by Sis Ann as her favourite text. He reminded the congregation that God sees the bigger picture and has a divine plan for restoration, even when life appears to be falling apart around us.
Following the sermonette, the first elder, Carlisle Clarke, reverently guided Ann through each of our Seventh-day Adventist beliefs. The congregation erupted in joy as Currithers affirmed the baptismal vows with a deep, resonating voice that filled the sanctuary.
After this momentous step of faith, Currithers shared a moving testimony of how the Holy Spirit led her to the Seventh-day Adventist Church after worshipping on Sundays for 29 years. Her words were powerful, heartfelt, and a testament to God’s guiding hand.
To God be the glory. We praise God for the beautiful things He continues to do in our church family and for the precious addition of Ann Currithers to our fellowship.
