Possibility Ministries Day Inspires Change at Holloway SDA Church

On Sabbath, 18 January, Holloway Seventh-day Adventist Church experienced a powerful and transformative Possibility Ministries Day, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended. The event, led by the dedicated Possibility Ministries Team, championed inclusivity and sought to dismantle stigmas surrounding visible and non-visible disabilities.

Elder Louanne Sampson, from New Life Church (London), delivered an enlightening and deeply personal presentation, sharing her journey of living with lupus. Her candid reflections on overcoming challenges and discovering inner strength inspired the congregation. Her insights challenged preconceived notions and fostered a deeper understanding of the unique realities faced by individuals with disabilities.

In a heartfelt effort to ensure true inclusivity, Holloway members with special needs actively participated in the day’s programme - a gesture that resonated deeply with everyone present.

The afternoon session delved further into the symptoms and effects of various visible and non-visible learning needs. In a dynamic open forum, the congregation engaged in discussions, providing feedback and brainstorming practical ways to offer support and deepen understanding of disabilities within the church and the wider community.

This impactful day highlighted the importance of creating spaces where everyone feels valued, seen, and heard. Holloway SDA Church continues to lead in fostering compassion and inclusion, demonstrating that true ministry involves breaking barriers and building bridges.
