As Seventh-day Adventists, our mission drives everything we do. Rooted in Christ’s love and the teachings of the Bible, we are committed to serving others, transforming lives, and building communities of hope. Through education, humanitarian work, health initiatives, spiritual guidance, and community engagement, we seek to inspire faith and create lasting impact - both locally and globally. Within the South England Conference, our churches, schools, ministries, and outreach initiatives across our territory reflect that shared mission, while our current strategic priorities help shape how we live it out in our local context.

Go SEC: Inspired for Mission is the South England Conference’s current strategic framework, shaping how we strengthen faith, support churches, serve communities, and advance Christ’s mission across across our territory.

God has called the Seventh-day Adventist Church to a prophetic mission and redemptive message of Scripture, as declared by the three angels of Revelation 14:6-12. The Holy Spirit empowers and directs the church in fulfilling this mission and proclaiming this message. God calls each church member to lovingly proclaim the everlasting gospel by using the spiritual gifts He has given them.

Mission in action

Supporting those who suffer is a practical expression of Adventist faith. Through ADRA the Adventist Church’s global humanitarian agency and partner organisations, we bring relief, compassion, and hope to communities facing hardship locally and globally.

To serve and live better, the Adventist Church promotes holistic health through healthcare institutions, health education, and lifestyle principles that support disease prevention and well-being

Often described as people of the Book, Adventists believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, revealing His love for humanity and His redemptive plan through Christ’s sacrifice. We are committed to living by its teachings and helping others do the same.

Adventists cherish the family as a God-given institution at the heart of society and faith. Through ministries and initiatives, we seek to strengthen relationships, support families, and promote healthy, Christ-centred homes.

Character-forming education is central to the Adventist approach, nurturing academic excellence alongside personal growth, faith, and holistic development.

Adventists offer regular activities for children and adolescents, fostering physical, mental, social, and spiritual growth while encouraging values like respect, collaboration, and companionship.

Religious freedom is a fundamental principle of Adventist faith. We advocate for freedom of belief and work with governments and partner organisations to help protect the rights and liberties of all people.

Service is central to Adventist identity. We initiate projects and collaborate with organisations to meet the needs of communities locally and worldwide.

Through digital platforms, television, radio and print media, Adventists share a message of hope, connecting people to Christ in creative and impactful ways.
