SEC Executive Secretary Logs In for a Historic Celebration at London Ghana!

On 18 April 2026, the London Ghana Seventh-day Adventist Church buzzed with a unique brand of excitement. The SEC Executive Secretary, Pastor Nathan Stickland, spearheaded a first-of-its-kind ‘Church Clerk Day’ — a joyful, heartfelt tribute to the administrative wizards who keep church life running like clockwork.

Pastor Stickland, a man who knows a thing or two about the inner workings of church secretariats, spent the entire day offering mentorship and a much-needed pat on the back to hardworking clerks, past and present. The highlight was a delightful open forum where former secretaries reminisced, sharing stories that ranged from hilarious mishaps to poignant moments that truly define service.

The pastor offered a clever take on the word ‘secretary’, noting its ‘secret’ roots — a reminder of the confidentiality, GDPR compliance, and deep spiritual integrity required for the role. Attendees also heard from Miss Ruby Dankwah, who marked a decade of consistent service in the role. Miss Dankwah confessed her initial hesitation to take the helm due to her youth but shared how the congregation’s encouragement helped her grow into a strong and capable leader within the department. Long-time stalwart Elder Collins Amofah (the beloved ‘EGACCOM Pastor’) echoed the sentiment, describing his own ten-year stint as a distinct privilege.

Against the backdrop of the celebrations, however, loomed the growing conversation around AI. While the tech world continues to highlight rapid change, one thing remains certain: no algorithm can replace the warmth, dedication, and spirit that church clerks bring to their selfless service in God’s vineyard.
