SEC Prayer Ministries 10 Days of Prayer - Unleashed

For 10 Days thousands of members across the globe attended the online SEC Prayer Ministry 10 Days of Prayer during the 7th-17th January 2026. With the theme Unleashed, the readings which were authored by Don MacLafferty, President of In Discipleship (which includes the Back to the Altar Training Programme introduced to churches across the globe), were based on the unleashing of the Holy Spirit on the disciples after 10 Days of Prayer in the upper room as described in the book of Acts.

Each day the SEC 10 Days of Prayer was led by each of the South England Conference Area Churches and with a special guest speaker each evening which included: Former BUC President, Pastor Don McFarlane, TED Field Secretary, Pastor Ian Sweeney, Newbold College Professor, Dr Val Bernard, Pastor Michael Fenton (General Conference), TED President, Pastor Daniel Duda, Dr Pardon Mwansa, Pastor Donnett Blake (USA), Elder Fortune Mahlangu, Former SEC Ministerial Association Director, Pastor Hezron Adingo and SEC President, Dr Kirk Thomas. Branching out of the theme were timely messages demonstrating the impact the Holy Spirit has on lives consecrated to God. Notably these included: Knowing Jesus as our Living Saviour; Coming into alignment with Kingdom Priorities; Disciple Children and Generations to Speak for Jesus, and Humbly serving others through love, unity, and the mind of Christ, making Him known to everyone.

A new and most welcome feature of this year’s Ten Days of Prayer initiative was the introduction of British Sign Language (BSL) for our deaf community courtesy of Dainis and Vivi. Over 1000 members across the South England Conference and beyond joined the meetings on Zoom with an additional 1000 plus also joining through the SEC Media YouTube Channel’s Livestream. Besides, dynamic preachers were equally powerful testimonies from members who made it known that God still answers prayers in 2026 through healing of the sick, financial breakthroughs and souls won for the Kingdom. Members also rose to the 24-hour challenges given each day which encouraged sharing Christ with others while also developing spiritually through purposeful prayer alongside diligent study and application of God’s word.

SEC Prayer Ministries Coordinator Linda Asare expressed her delight at the overwhelmingly positive response to the initiative. “These Ten Days of Prayer have been a blessing for the South England Conference in uniting us together in prayer and through the power of the Holy Spirit equipping members to make disciples in their homes, churches, and communities. I take the opportunity to thank all the participating Areas, from Area 1-8 and guest speakers throughout the duration of this initiative who made it a success and for all the members and visiting friends who supported through their attendance, testimonies, and prayers.” I also would like to appreciate all the admin prayer team who worked hard each night to ensure swift flow of the worship each night.
