Beckton Maranatha SDA Church Supports Homeless Community with Warm Meal Initiative

On the evening of 20 February 2025, the Beckton Maranatha Seventh-day Adventist Church, led by its Women’s Ministries department, organised a heartfelt initiative to serve the less privileged in the community. This was an initiative initiated by St Mark’s Church of England. Fifteen homeless individuals were welcomed into the church premises, where they were treated to a warm and nutritious dinner.

The attendees expressed immense gratitude for the meal, describing it as “delicious,” and appreciated the opportunity to take away additional food for later. This act of kindness not only provided physical nourishment but also offered a sense of community and care to those in need.

The event was graced by the presence of Sister Gina Boamah, the Area 6C Women’s Ministries Coordinator, who collaborated with church leaders and volunteers throughout the evening. Her participation underscored the collective commitment to outreach and service within the community.

This initiative reflects the church’s dedication to embodying Christ’s love through actionable service, addressing immediate needs, and fostering a spirit of compassion and unity.
