“Joined in Mission” Health Expo
On 15th October 2022, a special event titled “Joined in Mission” was held by North Wembley Church, Sudbury Romanian Church, and Tamil Immanuel Church. All three churches, led by pastors Sam Ngui, Bogdan Dumitru and Gabriel Ciocarlan, have shared the same venue in Sudbury, where they rented different halls for the last year. This unique case in all SEC was seen as divine providence and an opportunity to serve. Therefore, all three churches joined forces to reach the community.
All three congregations had a special service in the morning and continued with Health Expo in the afternoon. Each congregation participated in the divine service and took ownership of worship, where they shared songs and short sermons in their language, and the members prayed for the community.
During the Health Expo, the members got to know each other and worked together at one of the 15 stands, where one member from each church was involved.
Around 80 people took part in the event.
We are grateful to God for making this a success, a small gesture to spread God’s love and joy to our neighbours.
As the entire event was well-attended and well-received, the three churches plan to have more joined events and host a second Health Expo in springtime.
