Plumstead Pathfinder Club Advances to Conference Level in 2025 Pathfinder Bible Experience

The Plumstead Community SDA Church proudly hosted the Area 6B Adventurer and Pathfinder Bible Experience (PBE) tests on Saturday, 11th January 2025, marking a significant achievement for the young members of their newly formed Pathfinder Club. Despite the club only being established in the past four months, the members put forth an impressive effort, especially given the short preparation period.

The event was a busy, action-packed afternoon focused on assessing the biblical knowledge of the teens and youth. The competition included teams from both the Plumstead and Blessed Hope Pathfinder Clubs, with the latter hailing from Area 4 in Dartford.

The day began with the Adventurer segment. Participants were tested on the books of Corinthians and Romans. Plumstead’s Adventurer group was the sole representative from Area 6B vying for a spot in the conference stage of the competition. While the Adventurers placed third and, unfortunately, will not be advancing to the next level, their performance was commendable, considering their brief preparation time. Despite the disappointment, the young participants showed resilience, and the experience has undoubtedly equipped them with greater confidence and a deeper understanding of the Bible and their faith.

Meanwhile, the Pathfinder groups (Plumstead Light Bearers and the Blessed Hope Stars) earned a place in the next stage of the competition. The Area Coordinator took the opportunity to encourage the advancing teams to remain diligent in their Bible studies and not to become complacent, as they will face tougher competition at the next level.

The church community celebrated the accomplishments of all the participants, praising God for the journey thus far. Special recognition was given to the newly appointed Pathfinder Director, Elder Lionel Anthony, assisted by Sister Shirley, Elder Mario Williams, and all the coaches for their dedication and leadership in guiding the club through this process.

As the Pathfinders look ahead, the experience has served as both a learning opportunity and a testament to the hard work, determination, and passion instilled by their leaders and parents. With renewed energy, they are eager to prepare for future challenges in the Pathfinder Bible Experience.
