SEC Appoints New Health Director

The Trustees of the South England Conference have appointed Edith Samambwa, as the new Health Director. The Executive Committee made the appointment at a meeting held on Sunday, 3rd April 2022.

Samambwa brings with her over 25 years of experience as a healthcare professional, working in the public, private and charity sectors, including serving as Health Director for the Irish Mission. She holds a Master's degree in Public Health, from University College Dublin, Ireland, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy, from the University of Zimbabwe.

In response to her appointment, Samambwa said “It will be my pleasure to serve in the South England Conference and to serve God and my Church. I look forward to working with everyone."

Samambwa attends the West Bletchley Church, in Milton Keynes.

From 1–8 November, the Romanian District in London united for the Reflecting Hope Evangelistic Campaign themed “The Great Escape,” with Pastor Lucian Cristescu as main speaker. Hosted across five churches, the event drew 150–200 nightly attendees, including up to 70 non-Adventist guests. The campaign culminated in a joyful Sabbath celebration and 15 individuals committing to begin Bible studies in preparation for baptism.
