SEC Treasurer, Candy Layson is Appointed new TED Associate Treasurer

South England Conference (SEC) Treasurer, Candy Layson has been appointed Associate Treasurer at the Trans-European Division (TED). Layson was voted to the position by the Division's Executive Committee, during its end of year meeting in Montenegro on Thursday, 17 November 2022. She assumes her new responsibilities in 2023.

In a statement following the appointment, SEC President, Pastor Emmanuel Osei, thanked Layson for her "pivotal role in overseeing the finances of the South England Conference".

Responding to her appointment, Layson said, "I praise God for the opportunity to serve as a Treasurer at SEC. It's been a great privilege to have worked with my fellow officers, Ps Emmanuel Osei and Ps Douglas McCormac. I have the utmost respect for both of them, for their wisdom, dedication, patience and humility. I thank the SEC treasury team for their hard work and support to get the department and the Conference going especially during the lockdown and closure of our church buildings. It's a pleasure to work with the Trustees, Directors, office family and the whole workforce. It's been a great learning experience for me. God's grace and mercy have been evident in the way the Conference came through during these challenging times. Although I am called to work at Trans European Conference in a different capacity, I still continue to serve God in the best way possible for He is faithful. May God continue to bless all of us as we wait for His imminent return!"

Layson joined the SEC in July 2017 as Associate Treasurer and became its first female Treasurer in September 2019.
