Taunton Church Sabbath with TED’s Dr Johnson Rekindles Passion for Mission

On 21 June, inspiration filled Taunton Church on Sabbath morning as Dr Patrick Johnson, Ministerial Association Secretary for the Trans-European Division, delivered a powerful sermon centred on the vital relevance of the Three Angels’ Messages found in Revelation 14. Speaking to a full congregation, Dr Johnson emphasised that these messages are central to the church’s mission and a source of hope and encouragement.

“The judgement is good news for all of us,” Dr Johnson stated, explaining that God’s justice is intertwined with mercy and the promise of eternal life. He urged the congregation to deeply understand and actively share the Three Angels’ Messages. This is the important message we need to preach in these times.

The morning service left a strong impression on attendees, with many expressing how the message clarified their purpose as believers.

The impact continued into the afternoon when Dr Johnson led an interactive presentation on reading and studying the Bible. He guided the church through essential principles of biblical interpretation, ensuring that each participant grasped the key themes of the messages and their application to daily life.

Local pastor Robis da Silva praised the event:

“The programme uplifted our church members and was a blessing to all who attended. Dr Johnson’s visit ignited our congregation’s passion for Scripture and mission.”

Local elder Maneleno Santos added:

“Dr Patrick Johnson’s message at Taunton Church reminded us of this truth: judgement is hope. And because we know this hope, it’s our joy and responsibility to share it—boldly and compassionately—with the world.”

The day-long programme served as both a spiritual renewal and a practical guide for Taunton Church members, reinforcing their commitment to spreading the gospel with clarity and compassion.
