An office secretary is required
Based at our Watford office, the South England Conference is looking to recruit an office secretary.
This is a full-time position, and the successful applicant will be required to commence with immediate effect.
The successful individual will be required to:
Have proven working experience as a secretary or administrator
Have GCSE grades 9-4 or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English
Demonstrate a good standard of computer literacy, typewriting and word processing skills
Have proven work experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point programs and ability to create and manage databases
Person Specification/Essential Criteria:
Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows software – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, accurate typing/word processing skills being able to create databases
Familiarity with email, using web-based search engines and navigating the Internet
A willingness to undertake training, when necessary, in relevant skill areas
An empathy with the work, values and ethos of the South England Conference of Seventh-day Adventists is essential
Punctuality
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A good sense of humour
A professional, proactive approach to work
The ability to work as part of a team and equally well alone with or without supervision
The ability to demonstrate Christian courtesy under pressure
Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to constantly changing routines
To show the utmost discretion when handling confidentiality
For the successful candidate, depending on level of relevant experience and qualifications, gross salary range will be £22,876.00 - £29,704.00 per annum, which includes London Weighting.
