Jesus is Alive!- We are ready for Mission
The SEC Children’s Day of Fellowship at the Jewish Free School (JFS) was a joyful and spirit-filled gathering, bringing together children from various SEC churches in a vibrant celebration of faith. Centered on the theme “Jesus Is Alive – We Are Ready for Mission,” the event inspired and uplifted all who attended.
The programme both opened and closed with an energetic performance by the Pathfinder drum corps, captivating the children with its rhythm, precision, and enthusiasm. A meaningful skit followed, conveying powerful lessons about readiness for mission, obedience, and God’s love. Its message resonated deeply, leaving a lasting impression on the young audience.
One of the most impactful moments of the day was the sermon delivered by Auntie BK Peters. With confidence, warmth, and sincerity, she shared a message that spoke directly to the hearts of the children, encouraging them to embrace their faith and purpose. The spiritual highlight came during the appeal, when 18 children and teens came forward, expressing their desire to commit their lives to Jesus. It was an emotional and deeply inspiring moment that truly reflected the purpose of the fellowship.
The afternoon continued with an uplifting musical concert, followed by a short but powerful sermonette by Sipho, one of the teens. Together, these moments allowed the children to actively participate in worship, filling the atmosphere with joyful praise and a sense of shared mission.
Overall, the programme was a great success—nurturing faith, strengthening fellowship, and encouraging spiritual growth among the children.
