A Milestone Achievement for Portsmouth Word Warriors at the Pathfinder Bible Experience

March 7 marked a truly memorable occasion for the Portsmouth Pathfinder Club as the Portsmouth Word Warriors participated in the Union Level Pathfinder Bible Experience (PBE). After months of prayerful preparation, disciplined study, and dedicated teamwork, the group of six young Pathfinders proudly secured first place, earning the opportunity to advance to the Division Level testing in Poland this April.

This achievement represents a historic moment for the Portsmouth club. It is the first time Pathfinders from Portsmouth have progressed to this stage of the competition, making the victory especially meaningful for the club, the church community, and the families who supported the team throughout their journey.

The atmosphere following the announcement was filled with joy and celebration. Parents, counsellors, and fellow Pathfinders expressed immense pride as the team’s hard work came to fruition. Months of committed study of the Book of Isaiah—the focus of this year’s Pathfinder Bible Experience—had prepared the young participants not only for the competition but also for deeper spiritual growth and understanding of Scripture.

One parent shared a heartfelt reflection on the journey:

“The study journey has been a remarkable one, and we are deeply thankful to the visionaries behind the Pathfinder Bible Experience and to our church leadership for creating such a meaningful platform. It provides our young people with the opportunity to study God’s Word, commit it to memory, and grow spiritually.

It has been inspiring to see our children motivated by fellow Pathfinders and develop a strong sense of belonging within the Adventist faith. PBE has truly become a valuable avenue for Bible study, discussion, and fellowship—an enriching and purposeful use of their time.”

Beyond the excitement of the competition, the deeper purpose of the Pathfinder Bible Experience remains at the heart of the programme. Through their study of Scripture, these young Pathfinders are not only preparing for tests but are also being shaped in character and faith. Leaders and parents alike share the prayer that, as the children engage with the pages of the Bible, they will see Christ more clearly, internalise His teachings, and grow into faithful disciples.

While their studies may have begun with the goal of advancing through the levels of testing, the greater victory lies in the spiritual transformation taking place—young hearts being drawn closer to God and strengthened in their walk of faith.

The Portsmouth SDA Church family celebrates this remarkable accomplishment and extends heartfelt congratulations to the Portsmouth Word Warriors for their dedication, perseverance, and outstanding performance.

As the team prepares for the next stage in Poland, the entire church community stands behind them with encouragement and prayers.

We wish the Portsmouth Word Warriors every success as they move forward to the Division Level. May this journey continue to inspire faith, learning, and spiritual growth.
