Bath SDA Church Celebrates Launch of Adventurer and Pathfinder Club
On Sabbath, 18 April, a significant and joyful milestone was reached at Bath Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church as the congregation officially launched its new Adventurer and Pathfinder Club. The occasion marked a new chapter in the church’s ministry to children, teens, and young people, and was met with deep gratitude and excitement by members and leaders alike.
The church was filled with a spirit of celebration as families gathered to witness the beginning of this important initiative. The Adventurer and Pathfinder ministries are well known within the Seventh-day Adventist Church for nurturing spiritual growth, leadership skills, and community involvement among young people, and this new club promises to bring those benefits to the Bath congregation and beyond.
A special highlight of the Sabbath service was the presence of Pastor Stanley Teixeira, SEC Adventurer and Pathfinder Director, who attended as the guest speaker alongside his family. Pastor Teixeira delivered an inspiring and encouraging sermon, uplifting both the young people and the wider church community. His message emphasised faith, commitment, and the vital role that youth play in the life and future of the church.
During the service, all club leaders and members were invited to the front of the church for a special moment of dedication. In a moving commitment ceremony, they pledged themselves to serve faithfully, support one another, and grow in their spiritual journey. This act symbolised unity, purpose, and a shared vision for the success of the club.
Also present was Pastor Robson da Silva, who has recently been appointed as the new pastor of Bath SDA Church. He expressed how impressed he was by the strong support shown by local leaders and church members in establishing the club. Pastor da Silva highlighted the importance of investing in young people, stating, “These young people are Adventurers and Pathfinders today, and leaders in the future.” His words resonated deeply with the congregation and reinforced the mission behind the initiative.
In the afternoon, Pastor Teixeira continued his support by conducting a detailed presentation outlining the requirements and structure needed for the club to function effectively. He also assured the church of the ongoing support available from the South England Conference (SEC), encouraging leaders as they begin this journey.
The day concluded with a powerful sense of witness and thanksgiving. It was truly a memorable and uplifting occasion for everyone involved. The launch of the Adventurer and Pathfinder Club is expected to play a key role in strengthening evangelism and community outreach efforts, while providing a nurturing environment for the spiritual and personal development of young people.
Indeed, 18 April will be remembered as a remarkable day at Bath SDA Church — a day when a vision for the future came alive.
