Do you want to bear fruit for Jesus?
Our annual Children’s Campaign, organised by the Children’s Department, came up with the theme “Do You Want to Bear Fruit for Jesus?”
Each evening a child presented a message on an attribute of the Fruit of the Spirit, taken from Galatians 5:22-23 (“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance; against such there is no law”)
Children from all our Sabbath School classes participated and displayed tremendous talent in various ways. We had quizzes on the fruit of the spirit, we had presentation on the sweet taste of Martinique (Guava), Philippines (Banana), Jamaica (Star Apple), Ghana (Cacao), Trinidad (Star Fruit) and Zimbabwe (Mango). We learnt about the benefits, various uses, and the unique health benefits of each of these fruits.
Our children presented powerful messages each weeknight and in the sabbath services as well. These sermonettes were not only power packed but left the adults and children alike, spirit filled, encouraged, and enriched. We are grateful to Auntie Cindy Johnson and the rest of the team who allowed us to lead and be a beacon for Jesus.
