Hackney Baby Bank Christmas Fair at Clapton Church: A Celebration of Community and Kindness

The festive spirit was alive and thriving at the Hackney Baby Bank Christmas Fair, hosted at Clapton Community Seventh-day Adventist Church, on Sunday, 7 December 2025, where joy, generosity, and community came together in a beautiful way. This year marked the fifth time this heartwarming event has taken place, and it has grown tremendously in its mission to serve families in need.

Walthamstow Pathfinders Shines Again!
Special recognition goes to the Teen Leadership Trainees (TLTs) of the Walthamstow Pathfinders, who played a pivotal role in organizing this incredible community kids’ Christmas party in partnership with Hackney Children Baby Bank. Their dedication and leadership truly shone as they helped create a memorable day for local families.

The event welcomed over 100 children from 54 families, offering not just festive fun but also practical support. Families were blessed with clothes and shoes, ensuring warmth and comfort during the winter season.  All children and mums received lovely gifts, adding an extra touch of joy to the celebration. A heartfelt thank you to Clapton Adventist Church for graciously hosting the fair and providing delicious food for all attendees.

Spiritual Support and Music Filled the Air
Clapton resident Ministers, Pastors Blake and Gooden were present throughout the day, offering spiritual support and prayer to those who needed encouragement and hope. The atmosphere was further uplifted by Carol singing led by Kevin and his team, alongside contributions from Pastor Asomoah’s family and the Walthamstow Pathfinders, filling the venue with melodies of joy and praise.

Creative Fun for Kids
Children enjoyed a variety of engaging activities, including craft-making (angel ornaments), face painting, and interactive sessions. Senior Pathfinders Counsellors were also on hand to offer prayers and guidance, ensuring that the event catered to both physical and spiritual needs.

This Christmas Fair was more than just a celebration—it was a testament to the power of compassion, teamwork, and faith in action. As the Hackney Baby Bank and its partners continue to grow in their mission, we look forward to many more opportunities to serve and bring joy to families in need.
