Inspired for Mission Through ADRA

On Sunday, 11 January 2026, ADRA-UK participated in the South England Conference (SEC) Evangelism Expo—a significant gathering of pastors, elders, and local church departmental leaders from across the Conference. With more than 29,000 members worshipping in over 200 churches, the Expo provided a meaningful space to reflect on how mission can be expressed in practical, visible, and transformative ways.

The event highlighted the unique calling of the South England Conference, recognised as the most ethnically diverse conference within the global Adventist Church. This diversity is not only a strength, but also a sacred responsibility—challenging the Church to model compassion, love, and justice in ways that respond to the real and varied needs of the communities it serves.

The ADRA-UK team was delighted to engage with leaders who visited our exhibition stand. Meeting you—our key stakeholders—is always a great joy, and we are deeply grateful for your continued support and partnership.

Throughout the Expo, ADRA-UK demonstrated how humanitarian action and gospel mission go hand in hand. Through collaboration with local churches and communities, ADRA helps translate service and love into action—supporting the vulnerable, restoring dignity, and revealing God’s love in tangible ways. From community development initiatives to crisis response, ADRA’s work served as a reminder that mission is most powerful when evangelism and service work hand in hand.

Every church is encouraged to appoint an ADRA representative, known as an ADRA Ambassador. Churches with the capacity to do so, should also select an ADRA Youth Ambassador to work alongside the ambassador. The first step in partnering with ADRA is to formally select your local representative. Once appointed, the Ambassador should register with ADRA UK so we can provide support, guidance, and resources. As part of a wider national network, registered Ambassadors will receive a welcome pack and access to resources designed to equip them for their role.

The Evangelism Expo served as a timely reminder that mission is not confined to words alone. As churches across the South England Conference continue to serve richly diverse communities, ADRA UK stands ready to walk alongside them—helping the Church become a living witness of compassion, love, and justice, truly inspired for mission.
