SEC Churches in Taunton District Renew Commitment to Stewardship During Director Visit

Pastor Alex Mareniuc, Stewardship Director of the South England Conference (SEC), recently visited the Taunton District to emphasise the vital role of Christian stewardship in the life of the Church. His message of responsibility, mission, and faithful service left a deep impression on congregations across the district.

On 26 April, Pastor Alex visited Yeovil Church, where he preached on the blessings of stewardship in worship. His sermon inspired reflection and renewed commitment among the members. Local elder Clever Tinarwo described the experience as “an amazing day of encouragement at Yeovil,” noting how the message resonated with all in attendance.

Continuing his ministry, Pastor Alex visited Taunton Church on 3 May. He reminded the congregation that stewardship is not just about financial giving but about managing all that God has entrusted to us: time, talents, and resources for His glory. He emphasised that stewardship is at the heart of the Church’s mission and a key to spiritual growth and unity.

In the afternoon, Pastor Alex focused on the youth, encouraging them to be faithful stewards in every area of life. He spoke passionately about how the church can take ownership of its calling and use its gifts to serve God and the community.

Reflecting on the day, local pastor Robis da Silva shared, “It was a blessing to have Pastor Alex address such an important issue for our district. His message reminded us of our collective mission and each member’s role in fulfilling it.”

Pastor Alex’s visits brought fresh spiritual motivation and a renewed commitment to stewardship in the Taunton District, leaving members uplifted and challenged to live as faithful stewards of God’s grace.
