South England Conference Elects a New President - Dr Kirk Thomas

At its 64th Session at the University of Essex, Colchester, the South England England Conference has elected a new President.
Dr Kirk Thomas has served as the Director for Evangelism, Personal Ministries, Sabbath School, School of Evangelism, Mission and Leadership, Adventist Missions, Church Growth and Discipleship at the British Union Conference (BUC) of Seventh-day Adventists. He previously served at the SEC as Personal Ministries and Sabbath School Director.
Thomas is also behind the new and historic BUC School of Sabbath School. He is an ordained minister with over twenty-eight years of ministerial experience. He holds degrees from the University of Southern Caribbean, Inter-American Theological Seminary and Andrews University.
Thomas says he lives to empower and mentor people for the Kingdom of God. He has been married to Carol, a radiographer, for over twenty-seven years, and they have four lovely children – Fonah, Tivonah, Daniel and Kassanah.
The outgoing President, Dr Emmanuel Osei, was the first to congratulate the newly elected President. He received a standing ovation from delegates and thanked all for the opportunity to serve the South England Conference for the past seven years. He wished Dr Thomas well and asked the conference membership to accord him the same support he received during his tenure in office.
