Ten Baptised at London Ghana SDA Church’s Youth Week of Prayer 2026 Climax
Sabbath, 28 March 2026, marked a significant and joyous occasion at the London Ghana Seventh-day Adventist Church as members gathered to celebrate the climax of the Youth Week of Prayer, which coincided with the 13th Sabbath.
The highlight of the event was the baptism of ten individuals who publicly declared their faith and were warmly welcomed into the church community.
The week-long spiritual programme was led by Pastor Kwadwo Twumasi, Evangelism Director for the Ohio Conference (USA). Delivering the Sabbath sermon on the theme “Do You Believe in Breakthroughs?”, he drew inspiration from Exodus 14:13, encouraging congregants to trust in God during life’s challenges.

Pastor Twumasi addressed common struggles faced by Christians, including difficulties in relationships, delays in finding life partners, and challenges in maintaining spiritual discipline. He urged members not to lose hope, emphasising that God continues to grant breakthroughs.
Using the illustration of a drowning man who rejected multiple rescue attempts, he highlighted that while God is the ultimate source of help, He often works through people and resources such as pastors, professionals, and loved ones.
He concluded by encouraging believers to seek God first in all situations.
The baptismal ceremony was officiated by Pastors George Boakye Asiamah and Bright Agyeman Baah. The ten newly baptised — five men and five women — were Lloyd Nana Agyemang, Jacob Essel, Francis Yeboah, Kwaku Akuamoah, DeJohn Sarfo Adu, Esther Faah-Kyei, Hadassah Essel, Lois Van Midilla, Vanessa Opoku Agyemang, and Danielle Opoku.
The day’s celebrations concluded with a gathering of family members and well-wishers who came to support and rejoice with the new members on their spiritual journey.
