'What should we do with our worries and mistakes?'
Luton Central annual children's campaign concludes with a concert
Luton Central church held its annual children's campaign during our half-term in October. This year's theme was 'What should we do with our worries and mistakes?'. The speakers, all children from Luton Central Adventist church, presented each night and on the Sabbaths. The focus was on Bible characters and how they dealt with their worries and mistakes. For example, one of the presentations focused on Joseph's concerns about bullying from his brothers.
Each evening's programme included a quiz led by children to test our knowledge of the previous day's presentation.
A key moment in the campaign was a video montage showing the children holding up their whiteboards, displaying their fears. It was moving to see that our 'worries' change to 'hope' when we give them to Jesus. The campaign helped bring the children spiritually and physically together, which is always a good thing. The one-week campaign concluded with a concert by Promise Choir, which a packed church watched.
We thank Auntie Cindy, our Children's Ministries Leader, for organising such a successful programme that everybody enjoyed. Thank you also to Auntie Careen, Auntie Shae and Uncle Junior for the excellent performance by the choir. We cannot wait for next year.
