Bognor Regis Seventh-day Adventist Branch Sabbath School Church Plant joyfully celebrated its very first baptisms this summer! On Tuesday, 29th July 2025, two inspiring young teenagers, Tari-Kay and Tara-Kay Campbell, took a decisive step of faith at Portsmouth Seventh-day Adventist Church, the parent church of Bognor Regis.

During this heartfelt ceremony, these brave girls publicly declared their unwavering commitment to Jesus Christ, marking a significant moment of spiritual breakthrough.

Tari-Kay and Tara-Kay’s enthusiasm for their faith shines brightly – they are sincere in their beliefs and eager to grow closer to God through prayer, study, and reflection.

The service was filled with uplifting melodies, soul-stirring hymns, and meaningful scripture readings that touched everyone’s hearts. Dr Elliott Williams delivered a powerful message about the significance of this life-changing decision, emphasising the journey of faith ahead and following in the footsteps of Jesus. His words resonated deeply and inspired all those present.

This milestone is the result of many dedicated years of effort by the passionate Bognor Regis team, who have tirelessly nurtured this faith community despite personal health challenges, the pandemic, and heartbreaking losses.

Nearly a decade ago, a committed group of believers came together, motivated by Portsmouth Seventh-day Adventist Church’s vision for establishing an additional presence along the south coast. Now, under the guidance of mother and daughter Chantal Ducasse and Kessia Ducasse, and supported by a community of passionate attendees, Bognor Regis Branch Sabbath School continues to thrive.

The group, although small, is vibrant and diverse. They welcome your prayers and invite all who wish to join them on this journey of spreading the gospel. Currently, they meet in person twice a month in the Committee Room at West Meads Community Hall, Bognor Regis. These gatherings include thought-provoking Sabbath School discussions, followed by a fellowship meal at the Ducasse home, seaside walks, quizzes, and games that strengthen their bonds.

Additionally, the group meets online every Friday evening for Bible study and devotionals – a cherished continuation of the support that carried them through the pandemic. This time has become a vital space for prayer, reflection, and encouragement.

Their online presence is significant as well. You can follow @BBSSChurch on X, Instagram, Threads, BlueSky, and Facebook to stay connected.

Bognor Regis Branch Sabbath School’s goal is clear: to reach more members of the local community and expand their circle. They are passionate about sharing the transformative Word of God with those who have yet to experience it, creating a lasting impact in the lives of those in need.

This baptism was not just a ceremony; it was a landmark in their spiritual journey as a church plant family – symbolising growth, faith, and new beginnings.

We warmly welcome Tari-Kay and Tara-Kay into our church family – both locally and globally – and encourage them with strength, guidance, and unwavering support as they deepen their relationship with God. Their baptisms have been a source of encouragement and joy, and we look forward to celebrating many more in the future, continuing to seek the Lord’s guidance every step of the way.
