Kingdom Kidz from St Albans SDA Church Release Original Song and Music Video

40 children aged 1–10 showcase God-given talents in inspiring new project that launched 10 September 2025

St Albans, Hertfordshire – Kingdom Kidz, the children’s choir from St Albans Seventh-day Adventist Church, will be released their debut original song, “We Are the Kingdom,” along with a music video, on Wednesday, 10 September 2025. The exciting project involved approximately 40 children aged 1–10, supported by the teens, youth, and the entire church community—creating a lasting legacy that celebrates young faith and talent.

The idea emerged from a desire to find fun, Christ-centred, simple songs for children that would have a lasting impact on their lives and those around them. With limited resources available—and a local church filled with exceptional musical talent and passion—the concept of creating an original track was born.

The objective was to create a resource that children can use to talk to their friends about God,” explained Del Baxter (composer of We Are the Kingdom). “Instead of always looking to YouTube for songs for kids to learn, they’ve now created something themselves that they can truly relate to. This leaves a legacy and reminds them that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to them, even though they are young.

The project exemplified community collaboration at its finest. Church members, including youth, contributed in numerous ways—from project management and fundraising to security and wardrobe checks. Youth singers recorded a demo learning track for the children. A community bake sale alone raised £500 towards the project costs. Even children who couldn’t participate in the recording contributed by creating self-portraits for the cover artwork or helping with fundraising efforts.

After months of dedicated preparation and rehearsals since early spring (under the guidance of Beatrice Cooper), the recording itself took place at Up Top Studio in Redbourn in June, where approximately 30 children laid down their vocals for the track. The music video was then filmed during an exciting family day in Rothamsted Park, Harpenden, thanks to council permission. The event created much intrigue among passers-by.

The large crew for the day—including safety, security, and wardrobe teams—wore high-visibility vests featuring specially designed QR codes explaining the project, turning the entire production day into an opportunity for community witness and engagement.

This project has been incredible to witness,” said Melita Pazitka, who leads Children’s Ministries at St Albans SDA Church and co-managed the music project with Del Baxter. “Watching these children use their God-given talents to create something meaningful that they can share with their friends has been truly inspiring. It’s evangelism in action, delivered through the pure voices and hearts of our youngest members.

The Kingdom Kidz music project has created not only a professional-quality recording but also lasting memories and a sense of accomplishment for all participants. The project stands as a testament to what can be achieved when a community comes together to support and celebrate the talents of its children. Above all, it is the team’s hope that this simple message of love and hope will touch the lives of those involved—and even more so, the hearts of children (and adults) far and wide.

The song and music video will be distributed by Code Group Music, ensuring wide availability across multiple digital platforms including YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music from 10 September 2025. Search for ‘We Are the Kingdom’ – Kingdom Kidz.
