Missionary Sabbath and Health Expo Held by Romanian SDA Churches in London
On Sabbath, 25 October, all five Romanian Seventh-day Adventist churches in London, led by Pastors Bogdan Dumitru and Gabriel Ciocarlan, gathered at Burnt Oak for a Sabbath dedicated to mission, attended by around 300 members. Pastor László Liebhardt, Director for Church Growth & Adventist Mission at the South England Conference, preached a powerful message entitled “Christ Has Indeed Been Raised.”
In the afternoon, we continued our mission through a Health Expo, welcoming over 120 community guests. Attendees benefited from:
Blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol checks
Abdominal ultrasound
Massage therapy
Psychological counselling
Prayer support and free Christian literature
More than 50 volunteers, especially youth, served faithfully, and we were blessed to have non-Adventist volunteers as well — invited by Adventist colleagues to support this community event.
We were honoured by the presence of Pastor Gavril Ureche of the Romanian Pentecostal Church, Casa Tatălui, who expressed his support for our ministry, recorded an interview for our Facebook page, and invited us to present the upcoming evangelistic campaign in his church. He also expressed his desire to attend and encourage his members to participate.
This project was made possible through training and financial support from the South England Conference, via the Personal Ministries Department, led by Pastor Kwarteng-Ampofo Kwadwo.
It was a blessed and refreshing Sabbath, reminding us that Christianity means more than attending church — it means loving, serving, and caring for our community in the name of Christ.
