Key Responsibilities for Creating a Safer Church Community

Effective safeguarding relies on clearly defined roles and responsibilities. At the South England Conference (SEC), Designated Safeguarding Persons (DSPs), Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Clerks, and church leaders work together to ensure the safety and well-being of all members, particularly children and vulnerable adults. Each role plays a crucial part in fostering a culture of care, vigilance, and accountability.
