Who we are

A people of hope, united in faith and mission.

The South England Conference (SEC) is part of the worldwide family of Seventh-day Adventists, a Christian community dedicated to sharing God’s love and hope with all people. Seventh-day Adventists hold the Bible as the ultimate authority and foundation for their faith, which includes the observance of the Sabbath on the seventh day of the week, Saturday, as a day of rest and worship, and hope in the Second Advent of Jesus Christ. The church spans over 200 countries and includes more than 21 million members.

In the UK and Ireland, the SEC is one of five regional entities operating under the British Union Conference (BUC). Covering southern England, it serves approximately 26,000 members across more than 200 congregations, with churches in most cities and major towns. The SEC is the largest Seventh-day Adventist Conference within the BUC and Trans-European Division (TED).
