On 28th June, Yeovil Church in Somerset celebrated a momentous occasion—the first investiture ceremony of the Adventurers and Pathfinders Club, known as the Panther Club. This was a remarkable day filled with excitement, spiritual blessing, and community spirit.

The day began with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, attracting a good number of visitors alongside church members. The presence of these leaders underscored the significance of this milestone for Yeovil Church and its youth ministry.

Pastor Stanley Teixeira delivered an inspiring message that echoed encouragement and faith. His words lifted the congregation’s spirits and reminded everyone of the power of God’s presence: “If you are with God, the giant is small.” His message motivated both the children and adults, emphasising that through faith and teamwork, no obstacle is too big to overcome.

The programme continued into the afternoon with the much-anticipated investiture ceremony. Starting at 3 p.m., the atmosphere was filled with pride and joy as the club marched in, proudly displaying their flags—a beautiful sight that symbolised unity and dedication. The ceremony was an atmosphere of celebration, excitement, and divine blessing.

Leaders of the clubs expressed their happiness and gratitude, proud of the teamwork and dedication that brought the programme to life. The young members of the Panther Club, along with their families and the congregation, shared in this joyful occasion, marking a new chapter in the youth ministry of Yeovil Church.

Pastor Robis da Silva, the local pastor, shared heartfelt words, saying:

“It is a blessing to witness the development of Yeovil Church’s mission to nurture and empower our youth.”

He emphasised that the Adventurer and Pathfinder clubs are vital parts of the church’s vibrant and friendly congregation—an active community dedicated to fostering young people’s spiritual growth and service.

This historic event not only marked the beginning of a new journey for the Club in Yeovil, but also reinforced the church’s dedication to building a vibrant, encouraging, and mission-focused community.

As the day closed, everyone left inspired and united, looking forward to the future of the church’s youth programmes and the continued growth of the Adventurers and Pathfinders at Yeovil.
