SEC Virtual Camp Meeting 2020

Camp Meeting has been a highlight of the SEC calendar since we first met together in Poole, Dorset, way back in 1982. Like thousands of others, I have enjoyed this holy convocation and spiritual retreat each year since that time.

However, more stringent criteria around school absences, rising costs and a lack of availability of suitable venues has created some challenges for us in recent years; and we have been prayerfully considering the way forward for Camp Meeting in the South England Conference for some time.

I was, therefore, very pleased to announce plans for a Virtual SEC Camp Meeting to Ministers and workers earlier this week. The programme will consist of an early morning prayer session and a commitment service in the evening, which will be broadcast on our online platforms each day.

We look forward to welcoming a number of special guest speakers throughout the week; and hope you'll plan to join us as we explore this new way of doing camp meeting.
