Taunton SDA Choir Brings Christmas Joy to the Community

On Saturday, 13 December, the Taunton Seventh-day Adventist Choir was invited by the local council to take part in a special carol singing outreach in Taunton town centre. The choir delivered a well presented and uplifting performance that was warmly received by members of the public. Many expressed joy and appreciation for the music, creating a festive and spiritual atmosphere in the heart of the town.

As part of this outreach, 200 copies of Steps to Christ were wrapped and distributed freely to the community. This act of sharing literature complemented the music ministry, allowing the message of hope and salvation to reach even more people.

This event marked the continuation of the Taunton district Christmas evangelism programme, which will run until 21 December. During this period, the Yeovil Church choir will visit six different locations to sing carols and share books. These include care homes and church communities, with one of the upcoming visits taking place at a care home in Yeovil community .

This season has provided a great opportunity for the church to share the Good News freely within the community reaching people in town centres, and homes. The local pastor, Robis da Silva, encouraged the church to use this special time of year to proclaim the message of Jesus Christ, reminding everyone of the words of Scripture:

“Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

The Taunton District has been richly blessed to go out and share what it has Jesus Christ with the wider community. Through music, literature, and heartfelt service, the Taunton’s district continues to spread hope, peace, and the true meaning of Christmas.
