Young Adventurer Raises £1,650 for ADRA and Leads Community Hamper Drive
Wycombe Community SDA Church, High Wycombe, UK — A remarkable act of compassion from one of Wycombe Community Seventh-day Adventist Church’s youngest members has inspired the local community. Adventurer Brooklyn Lawrence, a dedicated and energetic member of the church’s youth programme, has successfully raised £1,650 in support of the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA).
What began as a small idea quickly grew into a powerful initiative as Brooklyn committed himself to raising awareness of global and local needs. Through sponsored activities, personal appeals, and creative outreach, he encouraged friends, family members, and church supporters to contribute to ADRA’s humanitarian work. His enthusiasm, sincerity, and determination captured the hearts of many, resulting in a fundraising total far beyond expectations.
But Brooklyn didn’t stop there.
Alongside his ADRA campaign, he also played an active role in the church’s seasonal Hamper Collection Drive, an outreach initiative aimed at supporting families struggling with the rising cost of living. Brooklyn helped gather food items, toiletries, and essential household goods, contributing directly to hampers that will be distributed to households across High Wycombe.
Church leaders praised Brooklyn not only for his efforts but for demonstrating what community spirit looks like in action.
